Q. What are the school hours? What grades do we offer?
A. Our school is in session Monday through Friday from 7:55 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. We offer grades Pre-School (3 and 4 years old) through Grade 8.
Q. Is child care offered before and after the school day? What are the hours and cost?
A. We have before school care from 6:30 A.M. until the start of the school day. After school care begins at 3:00 P.M. and ends at 6:30 P.M. The cost is $5.00 per hour.
Q. How much is tuition?
A. Tuition rates are as follows:
Pre-School (3 or 4 years old)
Full Day (7:55-3:00) $4800 (10 payments of $480)
Pre-School cannot be part of the family plan
Grades Kindergarten through Grade 8
One Child $4800 (10 payments of $480)
Two Children $7750 (10 payments of $775)
Three Children $9770 (10 payments of $977)
Q. What other types of fees or fundraisers are required of parents?
A. There is an Educational Materials Fee of $250 per child in Grades Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 8. There is also a technology fee of $75 per child for Kindergarten through Grade 8. Each family must complete $300 in fundraising through parish raffles. Each family performs 8 hours of service each year that includes 4 hours of work for the parish fest. Families must also be active contributors to Annunciata Parish.
Q. Do we offer financial aid? If so, what is the process to apply?
A. We have a limited amount of funds available for financial aid. Please contact our school office for information about applying for financial aid through our tuition management program.
Q. What are the criteria for acceptance? When are applications due?
A. Students entering Pre-School must be three or four years old by September 1. Children entering Kindergarten must be five years old by September 1. Children entering First Grade must be six years old by September 1. Families should supply the office with a copy of the child’s birth certificate, baptismal certificate (if applicable), social security card, immunization record, dental and physical exam records, and copies of the latest report cards and standardized testing results (if applicable), and $85.00 per child for the registration fee.
Q. What is the student to teacher ratio?
A. We average 18 students to every 1 teacher with a teacher’s aide in Pre-School and Kindergarten with the teacher.
Q. What is the school’s curriculum?
A. All students in every grade receive instruction in English Language Arts, Reading, English, Spelling, Phonics, Handwriting), Math, Social Studies, Science, and Religion. All classes also receive weekly instruction in Art, Music, Health, Physical Education, Foreign Language, and Computer Technology by qualified professional instructors.
Q. How is religion incorporated? Do we accept non-Catholics?
A. All students, regardless of religious affiliation, are welcome at Annunciata School. Children receive daily religious instruction, attend weekly mass with their grade level, and attend monthly all-school masses. Our parish priests regularly visit the classrooms to teach the students. Our code of conduct is based on Catholic Christian principles.
Q. What special classes do we have?
A. All classes receive weekly instruction in Art, Music, Health, Physical Education, Foreign Language, and Computer Technology by qualified professional instructors. We also have a Band program and piano lessons available.
Q. What type of technology do we have?
A. We have SMART Board technology in several classrooms. Additionally, all students have access to chrome books during their regular classroom instruction.
Q. How much homework will my child receive?
A. Children receive homework proportionate to their age level. Homework usually does not exceed one hour per night.
Q. What extracurricular activities do we offer?
A. We offer basketball and volleyball for boys and girls. We also have student council, school choir, school Honor Society, and a band program.
Q. Do our students wear a uniform? Where can they buy one?
A. Pre-School and Kindergarten wear the school gym uniform. Boys in all other grades wear a light blue polo with the school insignia and navy blue pants. Girls in grades 1-4 wear a blue plaid jumper with a white polo with the Annunciata logo. Girls in grades 5-8 wear the same polo but a blue plaid skirt. All students wear solid black or brown shoes. Navy blue walking shorts may be worn in warm weather, and navy blue pants may be worn in cold weather. All uniform items are available either through the Dennis Uniform Company or the school office.

A. We have a hot lunch program available for $ 2.75 a day.
